Silverfish

Silverfish are everywhere, and they appear in varying forms. These insects typically like dark, moist places and are active at night.
Color – Gray and almost metallic in appearance
Length – ΒΌ - 1" long
Diet – They enjoy starch-type foods, such as cereals, flour, etc. They will also eat cotton, linen, the glue which is used for book bindings, boxes, and wallpaper, plus many other things.
Habitat – Their natural habitat is in cool, damp and dark areas. While in their hiding space, if they are disturbed, they will move incredibly quickly and run for cover. You will find them in the basement, garage, crawlspaces, and attics.
Impact – They can damage fabrics, books, and wallpaper due to their love of starch and food will be contaminated if you find them in there.
