Moths
There are a variety of moths around the world and come from the same species as that of the butterfly. Typically, a nocturnal insect, they have a strange attraction to light. It is likely you have seen them flying around at night around an external light or clinging to your screen door. It is thought that moths navigate by the moon, and outside lights serve merely to act as a misperception.
